Journalism Reading List

Some books change the way we see the world. Each year, professors in the Department of Journalism compile a list of books that could change the way students see the profession.

From writings by journalists to writings about journalists, these books offer students a glimpse into covering the news from war’s frontline to Washington to the red carpet.

These books aren’t required reading. But they should be. Students who read even a quarter of the titles are better informed and enter the profession with both eyes open, ultimately making them better journalists.
