    Andrew Beck Grace is an Assistant Professor of Journalism at the University of Richmond. He’s also the co-host and producer of the NPR podcast White Lies, the first season of which was a 2020 finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Audio Reporting. His journalism and documentary work have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post and PBS's Independent Lens. His film Eating Alabama premiered at SXSW, aired nationally on PBS and was awarded Best Documentary by the James Beard Foundation. His interactive documentary, After the Storm, has been exhibited internationally and was nominated for an Emmy in New Approaches to Documentary. Before joining the University of Richmond, he was a faculty member in the Journalism and Creative Media department at the University of Alabama for many years. He holds a master’s degree in American Studies from the University of Wyoming and an undergraduate degree in American Studies and Religious Studies from the University of Alabama.
